What is pastel de nata?
Pastel de nata, perhaps the most popular pastry in Portugal. And for good reason. The dish is over 300 years old, which is why it's an integral part of Portuguese cuisine. The recipe for pastel de nata was created in Belem, in the suburb of Lisbon. It was originally consumed by nuns and monks, but today it's a very tasty sensation of flavors that can be found on every corner of the street.
Mister Nata is here for you!
José Cruz, who lives in Amsterdam, is a native Portuguese. He brings his love for Portugal to our country in the form of the most delicious pastel de nata. The passion for the Portuguese treat, combined with the lack of quality products in the Benelux, was the reason Mister Nata brought the pastel de nata to the Netherlands. Using high-quality, Portuguese ingredients, we try to recreate the flavors of our homeland as well as possible.
